3Com Corporation
   One of the largest manufacturers of network hardware in the world, particularly known for LAN and WAN products, including remote access products, hubs, network interface cards, Gigabit Ethernet, and multimedia over networks. The company's PalmPilot handheld computer has proved to be extremely popular, with more than one million units sold to date. In 1997, 3Com merged with U.S. Robotics in a deal worth $6.6 billion.
